Conor McGregor Addresses Potential WWE Move UFC

UFC star Conor McGregor has commented on the possibility of him making his pro-wrestling debut following Endeavor’s acquisition of WWE.

With Endeavor set to merge WWE and UFC into one publicly traded company, there has been a lot of speculation about which MMA fighters could be set to step into the squared circle.

With Conor McGregor and Triple H previously teasing a WWE run in 2021, and McGregor again teasing a pro-wrestling stint following the WWE-Endeavor announcement, many fans have called for McGregor to make the transition from MMA to sports entertainment.

Speaking with Adam’s Apple, McGregor indicated that he’s not thinking about wrestling for WWE at the moment.

When asked if he’d be interested in WWE, McGregor said:

No, not really.

There is a lot of speculation surrounding another major UFC star’s future, with former Bantamweight and Featherweight champion Amanda Nunes stating that she’d consider a WWE contract offer if it came her way when she’s done with MMA.

Nunes then announced her retirement following her victory over Irene Aldana at UFC 289.

Nunes was notably Ronda Rousey’s final UFC opponent, with Nunes defeating Rousey via TKO at UFC 207 in December 2016, ahead of Rousey arriving in WWE in January 2018.

Rousey currently holds the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship alongside Shayna Baszler.
