After reports about how impressed with Grayson Waller those backstage in WWE have been, a fun detail about his debut in-ring appearance on last night’s SmackDown.

Written about by journalist Ariel Helwani on Twitter, an interesting detail about Grayson Waller’s WWE main roster in-ring debut on last night’s SmackDown (July 7).

With Helwani pointing out there was a purpose to Waller’s initial pose ahead of his debut match with Edge from last night’s episode of WWE SmackDown, writing:

“Rising star @GraysonWWE, who is a massive MMA fan, made his main roster debut yesterday at MSG.

“He paid tribute to @TheNotoriousMMA vs. Eddie A at UFC 205.”

Commenting on the post, Waller wrote:

“Two MSG Main Eventers”

Grayson Waller continues to be featured in high profile moments with top WWE stars including an in-ring segment at Money in the Bank with John Cena and before that hosting guests like Charlotte Flair and Logan Paul on his in-ring chat show.

After his in-ring debut against Edge, Waller remained looking incredibly strong as after the match even in defeat.

Edge got on the microphone to tell him “You swam,” in a call back to their earlier segment in which the Hall of Famer told Waller that it was time for him to “sink or swim,” before leaving the ring.

Waller is reportedly receiving high praise backstage for his transition to the main roster, despite only now making his in-ring debut as previously he was recovering from a broken leg however continued to appear on WWE television.
