IMPACT Star Says Wrestling Needs More In-Ring People Like Psycho Sid WWE

An IMPACT Wrestling star said wrestling needs more in-ring people like Psycho Sid.

Joe Hendry has been gaining momentum courtesy of some humorous vignettes to hype his in-ring debut, which will take place in the Call Your Shot Gauntlet at Bound For Glory.

Speaking with Metro, Hendry discussed his upcoming return to IMPACT and expressed his excitement in showing the world the new version of himself.

He said:

“I feel like things are really starting to click. A lot of people they remember who I was in-ring in 2016 when I’d been wrestling for three years. That’s where my criticism might come from. But what they may not have seen is what I look like. I bulked up to 265lbs, legit. I bulked up massively, people haven’t seen what I do now so I’m excited to show that at Bound For Glory.”

Joe Hendry continued on to talk about reassessing what he could bring to the business after the pandemic and the wrestling world needing more powerhouses like Psycho Sid, Scott Steiner and Goldberg.

He stated:

“I needed the pandemic to stop me wrestling, to take a step back and go, you know what wrestling’s missing? We need more in-ring people like Psycho Sid, like Scott Steiner, like Goldberg. I thought, you know what? If I bulk up, I can do that and I can merge it with the entertainment. I realized then – I was kinda doing some technical stuff, kinda doing some power stuff. I can be the guy that suplexes two people, nips up and then says my catchphrase. I started to realize, that’s what my act is.”

Joe Hendry will join PCO, Rich Swann, Sami Callihan, Steve Maclin, Moose and more in the Call Your Shot Gauntlet on tonight’s Bound For Glory card from Albany, New York.

We will have breaking news from the Bound For Glory event when they become available tonight.
