Indie Star Given New Name For WWE Debut WWE

An indie star was given a new name for their WWE debut on tonight’s episode of NXT (January 16) in a big match with title implications.

On tonight’s NXT there was a 20 woman battle royal to determine who would get a title shot against Lyra Valkyria at Vengeance Day.

Before the battle royal however, some sad news as it was officially confirmed that Cora Jade had suffered a torn ACL.

The news led to the reveal of Cora Jade’s replacement, Wren Sinclair.

Wren Sinclar is the new name for the recently signed former indie wrestler Madi Wrenkowski.

Wrenkowski made her in-ring debut in 2019, wrestling throughout the independent circuit as well as multiple outings for AEW.

In her WWE debut effort she would end up making a big splash, eliminating fan favorite Lash Legend.

Sinclair would be the last to be eliminated before the battle royal turned into a four-way once the field had narrowed to the final four.

The final four were Fallon Henley, Kiana James, Roxanne Perez and Kelani Jordan, with Perez ultimately getting the win.

She’ll now challenge Lyra Valkyria for the NXT Women’s Championship at Vengeance Day on February 4.

There were a couple of other changes to the lineup for the battle royal tonight, which you can find out about by clicking here.
