Two WWE Stars Replaced In Big Match WWE

Two WWE stars were replaced in a big match tonight on NXT as a 20 woman battle royal determined a future title shot.

On tonight’s WWE NXT (January 16) there was a 20 woman battle royal to determine who would get a title shot against Lyra Valkyria at Vengeance Day.

Before the battle royal however, a bit of heartbreaking news was shared as it was officially confirmed that Cora Jade had suffered a torn ACL.

Commentary noted that it was expected Cora Jade would be out of action for “up to a year”.

Also pulled from the match but without clear explanation, Nikkita Lyons.

Nikkita Lyons, like Jade, was initially featured on the match graphic however did not make an appearance in the match.

Jade and Lyons were two of 18 women who were announced for the match last week, but as of earlier today, the field had changed.

Added to the graphic and featuring in the match tonight, not announced last week, were Adriana Rizzo, Jakara Jackson and Thea Hail.

That brought the total to 19, which still left one mystery entrant who was revealed to be Wren Sinclar, the new name for the recently signed former indie wrestler Madi Wrenkowski.

In Sinclair’s debut effort she would end up making a big splash, eliminating fan favorite Lash Legend before being eliminated herself, the last to be eliminated before the match was down to four.

The final four were Fallon Henley, Kiana James, Roxanne Perez and Kelani Jordan, with Perez ultimately getting the win.

She’ll now challenge Lyra Valkyria for the NXT Women’s Championship at Vengeance Day on February 4.
