An insane detail from this week’s AEW Dynamite that you probably missed has now surfaced online.
On this week’s show, Wardlow made a long awaited return to television, when he quickly disposed of Griff Garrison in his return match.
Wardlow had been off TV since the inaugural episode of AEW Collision, when he lost the TNT Championship to Christian Cage, and he may now have his sights set on another champion.
On the show, as seen in the pictures below, Wardlow wore wrist tape with the name of AEW World Champion MJF written on it, seemingly teasing a future rematch between the two.
Wardlow and MJF faced off at AEW Double or Nothing in 2022, with Wardlow squashing MJF in the opening match to earn a full-time AEW contract.
The match was MJF’s last in AEW before his return at last year’s All Out, where he won the Casino Ladder match to earn the right to a future AEW World Championship match.
MJF is set to defend the AEW World Championship against Jay White at Full Gear on November 18.
