Jeff Cobb WWE Name Change Update

Jeff Cobb WWE Name Change Update WWE

An update has emerged on a potential WWE name change for Jeff Cobb following his debut at the Backlash Premium Live Event.

After months of speculation, Cobb finally made his WWE debut in the closing moments of a title match at the May 10 PLE.

The debuting star attacked LA Knight during the US Championship four-way bout, allowing Jacob Fatu to retain his gold and appearing to form an alliance with Solo Sikoa.

There has been some speculation about WWE potentially changing Cobb’s name, with Big E noting the following after the main show:

“We saw the debut of a man once referred to as Jeff Cobb, not entirely sure what he’ll be referred to now”

In a new update, WWE.com has confirmed that the debuting star will be referred to as Jeff Cobb, at least for the time being.

Photos from Cobb’s debut were uploaded to the WWE Photos gallery, with the album titled “Photos: Jeff Cobb attacks LA Knight in shocking debut”, with Cobb keeping his name.

WWE.com also summarised Cobb’s debut with the following notes on its Backlash results page:

“Then, Jeff Cobb suddenly hit the scene and ruthlessly dismantled Knight with a ringside assault in his first WWE appearance.

“Fatu, seemingly confused with the arrival of Cobb, took advantage by hitting a huge moonsault on The Megastar to win the match and retain his title.

“Upon making his way back up the ramp, Fatu walked between Sikoa and Cobb and exited by himself.”

Jacob Fatu has now addressed Jeff Cobb’s WWE debut, which you can read more about right here.
