John Cena has confirmed an upcoming appearance at a major WWE event next year ahead of his retirement tour.
Cena announced his retirement back at Money In The Bank in Toronto last month, where he announced that he would be taking part in his retirement tour in 2025.
Cena is set to compete on 36 days in 2025 ahead of his retirement in December 2025, with the year kicking off in a big way for WWE in January, as Monday Night Raw moves to Netflix.
Fans have been speculating about John Cena appearing on the show since he announced his retirement tour, and he has now confirmed that he will be present for the Netflix debut.
Speaking to Complex, he said:
“I can tell you I’ll be there for the debut. I think it’s 1/6. I’m not sure, I think so; don’t quote me on that, but it’s a history-making day for WWE. I’m so very proud of WWE.
“Man, I’m such a fan of the merger. I love the two companies, WWE and Netflix, and it’s an event that I will not miss. I will be there.”
