Paul Wight has named an AEW star who he believes is not being used to their full capacity, noting that he’d love to work with him more.

With AEW’s roster only growing larger since the former Big Show’s debut in February 2021, Wight has named a star who he’s hopeful he can “help along the way.”

Speaking with Joey Franchize, Wight named Satnam Singh as a talent he sees a lot of potential in.

Believing that Singh needs somebody to help him with his presence, Wight said:

“A talent that’s not really being used yet to their capacity, Satnam Singh. That’s an easy one for me, that’s a direct line.

“When I first started, I had (The Undertaker) in the corner because I tagged with Taker when I first started in WWF. I can do the same thing with Satnam.

“That’s one of the things, because he’s such a good kid and a good guy, but he’s just a massive human being, Satnam’s huge. I’ve seen him bench pressing 500 pounds, he’s a monster. He just needs somebody to help him on presence.

“I gave him grief one time because we were at a show somewhere and he flipped the referee the bird. I pulled him to the side like ‘What are you doing, flipping somebody off? You’re a giant, you don’t do that. This (a stare) is all you need. You need to look at that referee and have that referee poop his pants.’

“It’s tough when you’re this big and you’re also athletic, to remember how big you are, and your presence. It’s funny, I take those same lessons that I got from Mark Calaway, that I got from Hulk (Hogan) about presence. Andre (The Giant) understood that, because Andre is the best ever.

“It took me a while, but I got it. So now hopefully I can save Satnam a little bit of time and headache and help him along the way. Wouldn’t it be nice?”

A former professional basketball player, Satnam Singh signed with AEW in September 2021, ahead of making his in-ring debut in tag-team action on the June 10, 2022 Rampage episode.

Singh mainly wrestles for ROH or in dark matches for AEW, most recently stepping in the ring to face Bruss Hamilton at the June 22 ROH taping.

His last televised match for AEW saw him compete in the 16-man tag-team match which took place during the Zero Hour pre-show for All In London 2024.

Satnam Singh previously spoke about getting the opportunity to work with Paul Wight for two weeks while training at the Nightmare Factory in 2023.

With Paul Wight working towards his own in-ring return, it would be interesting to see the duo form an on-screen alliance, while Wight acts as a mentor for Singh behind the scenes.
