Jon Moxley Unimpressed By Return Of CM Punk AEW

CM Punk returning to close this week’s (August 10) edition of AEW Dynamite may have delighted the crowd but not Jon Moxley.

Ending the segment, Interim AEW World Champion Jon Moxley flew a single finger salute at CM Punk as he left the ring, carrying his Interim AEW World Championship title alongside the Blackpool Combat Club.

The landscape of both All Elite Wrestling and professional wrestling as a whole has shifted significantly since we last saw CM Punk in AEW including the rise of the Blackpool Combat Club.

Not only has the BCC added a high impact member in Claudio Castagnoli, they also carry more gold than ever before across AEW and ROH.

With Moxley as the Interim AEW World Champion, Claudio Castagnoli as the ROH World Champion and Wheeler Yuta the ROH Pure Champion, currently only Bryan Danielson is without a championship.

With the impending match-up between CM Punk as the AEW World Champion and Jon Moxley as the Interim AEW World Champion to unify the title, it is unclear exactly when that match will take place.

Of note, AEW’s next major pay-per-view, All Out, occurs on Sunday, September 4 in CM Punk and Tony Khan’s shared neck of the woods, Chicago, Illinois.
