Raw star LA Knight has reflected on being the final WWE opponent of Bray Wyatt before Wyatt passed away in 2023.
Bray Wyatt passed in August 2023, with his final match on broadcast coming at Royal Rumble in January of that year when he faced LA Knight in the Mountain Dew-sponsored Pitch Black match.
Wyatt and Knight had a further few matches off TV after that, with the last of those coming at a WWE live event in February.
What Did LA Knight Think Of Feud With Bray Wyatt
In an interview with Esteban Ramirez, LA Knight spoke about his experience working with Wyatt and what he throught of their feud.
He said:
“Well, look. When I’m considering the idea that I’m dealing with this guy who kind of does these supernatural kinda things, I’m thinking that’s an odd fit, and something that maybe I wouldn’t ordinarily think that I’m too keen on.
“But it went together kind of peanut butter and jelly in my mind. Where it was kinda like, I could take parts of him and expose them in certain ways, and he could take parts of me and expose them in certain ways to where it worked so well.
“Say what you want about the match, a little bit gimmicky and I know everybody’s gonna point that out, but I think the build-up that we had going into that match really was the cake… the match itself was the icing and whether you like the taste of that icing or not is another story, but I think the cake underneath it was delicious regardless.
“And with that being the case, it was such a unique experience, just, again you’ve got the challenge of this very unique character, but then also it was my first real foray onto SmackDown television, onto WWE television on that main roster scale, where it’s like, okay, I’m gonna make my mark here while at the same time serving this return to Bray.
“And it was a hell of an experience, and I have to credit that with putting me on the map at this point.”

LA Knight WWE WrestleMania 42 Plans
Looking ahead for LA Knight, his plans for WrestleMania 42 are unconfirmed at this time.
Original plans reportedly called for him to face Brock Lesnar, although WWE appears to have shifted direction to a match between Lesnar and Oba Femi instead.
Meanwhile, LA Knight remains in rivalry with The Vision – a group that has seen its numbers deplete to just Logan Paul and Austin Theory due to both Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed suffering injuries as of late.
Paul and Theory may be heading towards a WWE World Tag Team Championship match against The Usos, while Seth Rollins still needs an opponent from The Vision as well.
We’ll continue to keep you posted with updates as LA Knight’s path to WrestleMania becomes clearer.
