There are plans in place for Adam Cole to return to NXT after having been gone for over a month.
Fightful Select (subscription required) reported the news, saying the promotion was hoping to have him return as early as tonight (June 1). They do note that the plans themselves were not disclosed to them.
The report also notes that some segments have been adjusted to make Cole’s return possible.
Adam Cole has not appeared on NXT since his sit-down interview with Arash Markazi. Prior to that, his last in-ring appearance took place at NXT Takeover: Stand & Deliver. On that show, he lost to Kyle O’Reilly in an Unsanctioned match.
Cole has been in NXT since August 2017. Many had speculated about a possible move to the main roster, however, it does not appear that is the case.
