On tonight’s February 16 episode of WWE SmackDown, the newest signing to the blue brand was officially announced.
A current NXT champion was revealed as the latest SmackDown signing on tonight’s episode of the show.
After backstage segments featuring Nick Aldis seemingly continuing to court free agents Jade Cargill and NXT’s Bron Breakker, one of the two made their big decision.
In a segment in front of the crowd, Nick Aldis revealed that one of the pair had elected to sign with SmackDown and introduced Bron Breakker.
Bron Breakker is a current champion in NXT, recently having won the NXT Tag Team Championship alongside a familiar face to SmackDown viewers: Baron Corbin.
Their unlikely partnership, which Breakker has named The Wolf Dogs, also won the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Tournament in NXT ahead of their title win.
Corbin did not appear alongside Breakker tonight.
Later in the show it was revealed that Bron Breakker would be making his SmackDown debut next week but did not name an opponent.
Elsewhere on tonight’s WWE SmackDown, a new tag team named for a reunited pair was revealed.
