A new report has revealed a spoiler on the next opponent for Trinity Fatu.
At IMPACT Emergence 2023, Trinity Fatu, simply known as Trinity, defeated Deonna Purrazzo to retain the IMPACT Knockouts World Championship in the main event.
With Purrazzo now in her rearview mirror, the former Naomi has a new challenger for her championship already lined up after the Emergence Fallout taping from Toronto.
Per PWInsider, Alisha Edwards won a Knockouts Battle Royal during the tapings to earn a shot at Trinity’s Knockouts World Championship.
Later in the taping, Edwards and Trinity had a contract signing to set up their title showdown.
After Alisha threw a glass of champagne in Trinity’s face, the champion attacked the challenger until Alisha’s husband Eddie Edwards came out to make the save for his wife.
With the behest of Alisha, Eddie proceeded to drive Trinity through a table before Frankie Kazarian came out to make the save.
The date of their title bout has not been confirmed at the time of this writing, but IMPACT Wrestling will hold their next pay-per-view special on Friday, September 8 with Victory Road.
