Major Star Ruled Out Of Joining WWE Or AEW? AEW/WWE

A major star has potentially ruled out the possibility of signing with either WWE or AEW as multiple companies take interest.

Will Ospreay is currently under NJPW contract but that contract comes to an end in early 2024.

With the star having the wrestling world in the palm of his hands, he has recently revealed that he’d be “a fool” to not consider other contract offers when the time comes.

Although he has worked for AEW previously and is likely to do so again with AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door taking place on June 25 2023 and a likely rematch with Kenny Omega for the IWGP United States Championship on the cards, Ospreay has recently commented on the likelihood of signing with AEW full-time.

Speaking on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Ospreay said:

“I’m very confident me and New Japan are going to work something out because I don’t want to live in America.

“That’s my full stop thing. I just don’t want to. It limits me.”

While Ospreay did note that PAC has a deal where he can travel back to the United Kingdom between AEW appearances, he would also comment that WWE would expect him to move to America as would IMPACT Wrestling.

When it comes to WWE, he also say that, as much as he would love to perform in front of their crowds, he wouldn’t lose sleep if the opportunity never arose.

With AEW All In taking place in London on August 27, Ospreay has recently commented on the rumors of his booking for the company’s UK debut.
