“F**k It” – WWE Hall Of Famer Bully Ray Pushes For WWE To Go “All In” With Oba Femi

WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray has reflected on Oba Femi’s direction following WrestleMania 42, believing WWE should “go all in” on the star.

Coming out of WrestleMania 42 and his victory over Brock Lesnar, Oba Femi has had subsequent victories over Grayson Waller and Otis on the past two episodes of WWE Raw.

With the conversation on Busted Open evaluating whether Oba Femi is “red hot” or just “hot” in the wake of his WrestleMania 42 performance, Bully Ray and Dave LaGreca would look at what the star has done since.

LeGreca would suggest that Femi is currently “hot”, an opinion with which Bully Ray would concur, stating:

“I agree. I know it sounds insane, but Oba Femi dropped Roman’s name at the (WrestleMania 42 post-show) press conference.

“Could you imagine if, the Monday night after (WrestleMania) Raw, Roman Reigns would have come out and said, ‘You drop my name? You think you’re good enough for this s**t? Okay, fine, tonight.’

“Could you imagine if Oba Femi beat Roman Reigns later on that night for the championship? And, yes, people would call that hotshot booking, and I get that. Too much too soon, and I get that.

“I hear all the arguments, but, man, if there was ever a time to go all in on a gut feeling, I think Oba is a better name than all of them – not Kurt Angle, not Brock Lesnar, not Randy Orton, not John Cena. None of those guys had what Oba had.”

LeGreca would comment that “the only person that it didn’t take time with was Hulk Hogan”, something the Bully Ray would go on to agree with, concluding:

“So if we have somebody that we’re talking about in the same breath as Hulk Hogan, I don’t know, the analytics and the odds tell me, f**k it, let’s go all in.”

With Femi having dropped Roman Reigns’ name, The OTC would respond by stating, “let’s see how you do through the summer”.

What Could Have Been For Oba Femi

The victory over Brock Lesnar will be a defining moment in the career of Oba Femi, more so with the Beast Incarnate seeming to retire after the WrestleMania 42 match on April 19.

Following the match at Allegiant Stadium, it was reported that plans existed that would have seen a multi-match feud between Lesnar and Femi. When it comes to lost potential, this is surely one of those moments that fans will look back upon in years to come, asking “what if?”

So far, coming out of WrestleMania 42, Femi has competed in short matches, both leading to entries in his win column, with his most recent match against Otis seeing praise from Big E.

While the idea of short matches leading to quick victories is certainly a theme that has been seen before, particularly with the Goldberg streak in WCW, there is something to be said about a feud that leads Oba Femi to Roman Reigns.

World Heavyweight Champion or not, this Saturday’s WWE Backlash match against Bron Breakker will decide, Roman Reigns stepping into the ring with Oba Femi is surely a feud that could have just as much luster as that offered by Lesnar.

At the top of the tree for many years in WWE, Roman Reigns stands apart from many of the other main event players despite his status as a part-time star, giving a perfect opportunity for Femi to sharpen his considerable talent against a name who resonates with fans in the way that Femi is just beginning to.
