Former ROH Champion Spotted On AEW Collision July 22 AEW

Eagle-eyed fans have spotted a pair of former Ring of Honor stars in a backstage segment on this weeks AEW Collision (July 22).

The unexpected cameos came courtesy of the segment involving Andrade El Idolo, who looked to gain access to the locker room area at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.

Unfortunately for Andrade his quest to regain his prized mask from the House of Black (Malakai Black, Brody King & Buddy Matthews) was firmly denied by the AEW security team, who escorted him out of the arena.

While the team were led by AEW’s head of security Sam Hemingway, the team also featured none other than former two-time ROH Tag Team Champion and World Television Champion Rhett Titus as well as fellow ROH alumni Leon St. Giovanni (LSG).

Titus and LSG’s appearance as a nameless guards is rather strange considering the fact they have both been used on ROH TV since Tony Khan took over the promotion.

In fact Titus even featured at the July 22 ROH TV taping, competing in a tag team match alongside Tracy Williams against The Kingdom (Mike Bennett & Matt Taven).

LSG on the other hand most recently appeared on ROH TV in May as well as on AEW Rampage in April, both in losing efforts.

Andrade was denied entry in order to prevent interference in the House of Black’s Trios Championship defence against The Acclaimed (Max Caster & Anthony Bowens) and Daddy Ass (Billy Gunn)

After pinning Gunn for the win, Malakai would be seen talking to the Hall of Famer, seemingly as a mark of respect, however, afterwards, shockingly it would appear that the 59-year-old would retire from in-ring competition, as he left his boots symbolically in the ring.

Following the match, Daddy Ass’ sons Colten and Austin Gunn would take to social media in reaction to their dad’s actions, click here to find out more.
