WWE Legend Shares Heartfelt Message For Dolph Ziggler After Release WWE

16-time world champion Ric Flair has paid tribute to Dolph Ziggler in a heartfelt social media post following Ziggler’s WWE exit.

Following 19 years with WWE, Ziggler was one of multiple stars released on Thursday (September 21).

Fans and wrestlers alike have taken to social media with tributes for the two-time former world champion, a testament to the respect Ziggler earned during his WWE career.

Admittedly seeing the news of the releases later than others, two-time Hall of Famer Ric Flair took to Twitter to celebrate Ziggler’s near two-decade tenure in WWE, while also highlighting his personal friendship with the Show Off.

Flair wrote:

Shame On Me For Being So Busy That I Haven’t Kept Up With All Of The Releases At @WWE.

I Just Hope That Each And Every One Of You Know That At The End Of The Day We All Love Wrestling, But It’s A Business First And Foremost. I Still After Retiring In 2008, Remember The Day That I Had To Walk Away As Being One Of The Most Difficult Days Of My Life.

And As For My Dear Friend, @HEELZiggler, Who Has Been My Close Friend For 20 Years, You Have Been Nothing Less Than The Best Professional & The Best At Everything You Have Been Called Upon To Do.

A Leader, A Champion, And A Man Of Unquestionable Character

I’ll Never Forget The Letter You Wrote Me In The Hospital. I Know You Will Be Successful In Life Because That’s Who You Are.

It has become abundantly clear just how highly many WWE’s greats thought of Ziggler, with John Cena and The Rock also taking to Twitter to praise the 43-year-old after his release.
