Former WWE Star Reacts To His Daughter’s Recent Win WWE

A former WWE star has reacted to his daughter picking up a big win during the first round of the 2023 Breakout Tournament on this week’s NXT (October 17).

The tournament, which looks to identify who could be next in line for superstardom in WWE has had a fairly solid track record in previous years, with stars such as Roxanne Perez and Carmelo Hayes winning in 2022 and 2021 respectively.

In the first round of this year’s competition, Arianna Grace took on Brinley Reece, who was making her WWE debut.

In just under three minutes of action Grace put the debutant away, progressing into the semi finals where she will take on Kelani Jordan.

After WWE posted a backstage interview with Grace on Twitter, it caught the attention of Grace’s father, former WWE Intercontinental and United States Champion Santino Marella.

Marella, who now works in IMPACT Wrestling as the Director of Authority, proudly reacted to his daughter’s progression in WWE tweeting:

She’s already a star to me

In a year that has seen Grace both place in the top 20 of the 2023 Miss Universe Canada competition and return to in-ring action after almost a year on the injury list, the 28-year-old will no doubt be hoping to continue her momentum into the closing rounds of the Breakout Tournament.

Elsewhere in the tournament’s first round, Karmen Petrovic defeated Jaida Parker to set up a semi final against Lola Vice.
