Shawn Michaels Addresses Dominik Mysterio Working In NXT

Shawn Michaels has now addressed WWE Raw star Dominik Mysterio working in NXT, following the rising star’s recent title win.

While the Judgment Day faction has appeared on several episodes of NXT in recent months, the stable’s presence was the greatest on the July 18 show.

During that episode, Dominik Mysterio pinned Wes Lee to become the NXT North American Champion, ending Lee’s historic reign with the gold.

During Thursday’s (July 27) NXT media call ahead of the Great American Bash, Michaels commented on Dominik Mysterio’s future on the brand.

The Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative shared praise for ‘Dirty Dom’, calling him mature and professional.

Michaels noted that he believes Dominik will find himself more in NXT, stating that he respects the business, and has done well during his short stint on the developmental brand.

Dominik Mysterio will be in action this Sunday (July 30) when he defends his North American Championship against Wes Lee and Mustafa Ali.

In the lead up to this bout, Mysterio has already defended his gold on WWE TV against Butch and Sami Zayn.

Ahead of NXT The Great American Bash, WWE has announced the return of a retired pay-per-view.
