Whilst discussing her own induction this year, Stephanie McMahon has revealed that members of the McMahon family were never supposed to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
Along with AJ Styles, Demolition, Dennis Rodman, Sycho Sid and Bad News Brown, Stephanie McMahon was honored with a spot in this year’s WWE Hall of Fame class.
The former co-CEO and chairwoman of WWE took the headline spot in this year’s class, being recognised for her contributions to the company both on camera and behind the scenes.
During the newest episode of What’s Your Story? With Steph McMahon, Paige hailed McMahon’s impact on her own career and questioned why there was such a delay in her WWE Hall of Fame induction.
Paige said:
“You’ve done so much in your career, you’re very inspiring for any woman or man, but just speaking from a woman’s perspective here, any woman that’s worked with you has only ever said positive things.
“You’re very inspirational, for a boss you were so caring and empathetic, you’re understanding and you stick up for us as women, you’re an advocate for us. You’ve always been like that and I’ve always appreciated that about you.
“And just seeing that package (Hall of Fame) I was like, ‘Man, she deserves it.’ And I was like, why has she not been put in there way before that, I never understood. Like what’s going on here, why the delay?”

This then led McMahon to respond:
“The McMahon’s were never supposed to be in the Hall of Fame (that’s how) I was always brought up.
“We were characters that were intentionally designed to get other talent over, so it was never about us. And that’s just sort of engrained in my brain.”

Will We See More McMahon’s Inducted Into The WWE Hall Of Fame?
Stephanie McMahon not only joined her husband Triple H in the WWE Hall of Fame this year, but she also takes her place alongside her grandfather Vince McMahon Sr. who was posthumously inducted back in 1996.
But could we see more McMahons inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in the future?
Shane McMahon’s contributions as a talent alone warrant an induction, with Shane-O-Mac earning respect from fans for putting his body on the line countless times over the years.

Shane McMahon was last seen on WWE TV at WrestleMania 39
Vince McMahon being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame is less certain for obvious reasons, however, with the company getting more comfortable making reference to him in recent months, it certainly can’t be ruled out.
Linda McMahon’s induction would certainly be a contentious one for several reasons, and unlike Stephanie and Shane, she didn’t contribute enough as a performer to warrant an induction. However, that’s not to say it wouldn’t happen.
