WWE
WWE WrestleMania 43 was originally slated to take place in Nashville’s New Nissan Stadium before being moved to Saudi Arabia.
In February 2027, the New Nissan Stadium is set to officially open, with the stadium being the new home of the Tennessee Titans in the NFL.
With the stadium opening, WWE WrestleMania 43 taking place just weeks later could have made it the first major event ever held in the stadium.
However, that won’t be happening, as WWE announced in September that WrestleMania 43 would be taking place overseas for the first time ever, taking place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
WrestleMania 43 Originally Slated For Nashville In 2027
In a new report from Fox 17, Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp have confirmed that WrestleMania 43 was originally set to take place in New Nissan Stadium next year.
On why the event will no longer be taking place in Nashville, they simply stated:
“The date didn’t work out … we are looking at future years,”
Other Locations Set For Future WWE WrestleMania Events
With Nashville now seemingly in the running for a potential future WrestleMania event, there are a number of other locations we could see host a WrestleMania over the next few years.
Last weekend’s WrestleMania 42 event was originally set to take place in New Orleans’ Superdome, the third time the event would have taken place in the stadium.
However, the event was then moved to Las Vegas for the second straight year, with New Orleans getting this year’s Money In The Bank event, as well as a future WrestleMania.
As well as New Orleans, Indianapolis is also set to host a WrestleMania event in the future, with WWE reaching a deal with Lucas Oil Stadium for a future Royal Rumble, SummerSlam and WrestleMania event in the stadium.
The stadium hosted the 2025 Royal Rumble event last January.
Minneapolis has also long been speculated for a potential future WrestleMania event, though the city will host this year’s SummerSlam event in US Bank Stadium.
Finally, there is also London, which has long been speculated for a future WrestleMania event, and with Triple H and Nick Khan meeting with mayor Sadiq Khan last year, as well as John Cena and other WWE stars advocating for the event to come to London, it seems only a matter of time before the show of shows comes to London.
