WWE Hall Of Famer Trish Stratus Says She Was ‘Blown Away’ Watching Sol Ruca For First Time WWE

WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus has named a current WWE star who blew her away the first time she watched them up close live.

With Stratus last wrestling in July 2025, there has been some speculation about her in-ring future.

During an interview with SiriusXM Sports’ Pro Wrestling Nation 24/7, Trish Stratus was asked who she’d want to face if having one more match.

With Sol Ruca being the first name that came to mind, Stratus recalled:

“When I went to John Cena’s final match, I got to see Sol Ruca up close and in person. I was blown away.”

Stratus then went on to note that she’d have to think about her answer for the question more, indicating that there are many other stars who she’d like to share the ring with.

Sol Ruca scored a huge victory at the December 13, 2025 Saturday Night’s Main Event: John Cena’s Final Match event, with the NXT representative pinning former WWE Women’s Champion Bayley in their singles match.

Following a Royal Rumble appearance in January which saw her make it to the final three, Sol Ruca made her Raw debut on the April 20 episode, the first following WrestleMania 42.

Ruca faced off against Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan, coming up short following Zaria’s interference.

Zaria defeated Sol Ruca in a Last Woman Standing match on the April 21 NXT episode. This definitive lost appears to mark the end of Ruca’s time on the developmental brand, ahead of the former NXT Women’s North American Champion making a home for herself on Monday nights.

Zaria has commented on her own WWE future following her Last Woman Standing victory, which you can read more about right here.
