Wrestling in WWE
Of course, just as every indie star is asked in an interview, Jericho questioned whether the pair had any interest in going to WWE. They sort of danced around the question, never giving a straight answer. However, the overall feeling was that they felt they didn’t need to.
“No matter how big we get, it will always be a question that lingers on our career. We can literally quit tomorrow and do something else and we’d be fine. At this point it’s not a goal. We don’t need it. It’s always something we just can’t answer because we don’t know the future.”
They did note that AJ Styles said he would never go to WWE, and look where he is now. Personally, it wouldn’t surprise me to see them in WWE during the later stages of their career, just to check it off their list of “what ifs.” However, as they mentioned, they’ve built an empire on their own, and don’t need to have a run to retire successfully.
There were loads of topics discussed on this show including the origin of the Meltzer Driver, their experiences in PWG, etc. You can check out the entire episode – as well as past ‘Talk is Jericho‘ podcasts – by clicking here.
