A new championship match has been officially confirmed for tonight’s (October 21) AEW Battle of the Belts VIII special.
On last night’s episode of Rampage, a three-way took place between John Silver, Kip Sabian and Brother Zay Isiah Kassidy, with the winner challenging Orange Cassidy for the AEW International Championship on tonight’s AEW Battle of the Belts special.
Silver ended up picking up the win in the match, with him now set to challenge Cassidy for the title at Battle of the Belts.
The other matches set for Battle of the Belts will see Kris Statlander defending the TBS Championship against Willow Nightingale, and the Acclaimed and Daddy Ass defending the AEW Trios Championship against Daniel Garcia, Matt Menard and Angelo Parker.
The Battle of the Belts show will air on TNT following the conclusion of tonight’s AEW Collision show.
Collision is set to feature a ‘dream match’ between Bryan Danielson and Andrade El Idolo as announced by Tony Khan yesterday.
A big AEW grudge match is set for next week’s episode of Rampage between Mike Santana and Ortiz.
