Another upcoming major WWE partnership has been revealed following the company’s successful partnership with the NFL.
Earlier this year, WWE began a partnership with Fanatics and the NFL, with custom made WWE Championship titles available for all 32 NFL teams.
The custom championships have appeared multiple times on WWE television, usually with the announcers or other babyface roster members sporting the title of the local team the show is being held at.
In an update from WrestleVotes, WWE’s partnership with the NFL has been a ‘major success’ and has led to WWE also reaching a deal with the NHL, with custom NHL Championships expected to be available in the new year.
They tweeted:
On the heels of major success with the NFL in releasing commemorative championship titles of each team, I’m told the WWE & NHL have a deal in place for the same. Expect NHL championships titles to be available thru Fanatics sometime in the new year.
WWE also recently announced a partnership with the Big 12 conference, with numerous top stars, including Jade Cargill, attending a recent game.
