There has been an update on another released WWE star that may soon be returning to WWE.
Ever since Triple H took over WWE creative in July following the retirement of Vince McMahon, many former WWE stars that were let go have found their way back to the company.
Most recently, Emma made her return to WWE on October 28, answering the open challenge of SmackDown Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey.
Several other released WWE stars have been reported to have interest from the company, including former NXT star Chelsea Green.
Both WrestleVotes and PWInsider have mentioned that WWE has shown interest in bringing Green back to the company.
Fightful Select (subscription required) has provided an update on Green’s interest from WWE, noting that they were told that Green was one of many female names discussed to come back to the company.
The report didn’t note whether or not a deal is official, or that a return date is set as of yet.
Green has been appearing for both IMPACT Wrestling, Ring of Honor and the NWA during her time away from the company, all while not signing a contract.
Green claimed to Fightful that she hasn’t been contacted by WWE for a return and has dates set with other promotions into March 2023.
WWE is reportedly making the play as a way to restock it’s women’s division with several TV ready, experienced wrestlers.
This was highlighted with the recent return of Emma, as well as the company’s interest in Tegan Nox.
Another name that WWE has interest in bringing back to the company is Mia Yim.
