NJPW star Will Ospreay has fired back at Kevin Nash after the WWE Hall of Famer questioned his merchandise sales.
Ospreay has been on a roll this summer, with four of his matches this month alone awarded 5+ star ratings by Dave Meltzer.
His August 6 G1 Climax block match against Shingo Takagi was rated 5.5 stars, his tournament final match against Kazuchika Okada received 5.75 stars, and both his RevPro British Heavyweight Title bout on August 21, and his AEW Trios Championship tournament match on the August 24 Dynamite were awarded 5 star ratings.
It was pointed out on Twitter, that Ospreay has been awarded more 5+ star ratings this month than the likes of CM Punk, John Cena and Kurt Angle have received throughout their respective careers.
Kevin Nash replied to the original post asking:
“How’s his merchandise sales?”
Ospreay returned fire by simply asking:
“Did you tear your quads writing this tweet?”
Ospreay & Aussie Open defeated Death Triangle in their first round match of the AEW Trios Championship tournament. In the next round, the duo will face Kenny Omega & the Young Bucks.
Omega and Ospreay notably cut vicious promos on eachother following the August 24 edition of Dynamite.
