WrestleMania Rematch Announced For WWE Raw

A WrestleMania rematch has been announced for tonight’s February 5 edition of WWE Raw.

On the February 2 episode of SmackDown, 2024 Women’s Royal Rumble winner Bayley announced that she will challenge WWE Women’s Champion IYO SKY at WrestleMania 40.

This now leaves a spot open for someone to challenge Rhea Ripley for the WWE Women’s World Championship at the Showcase of the Immortals.

Ahead of tonight’s show, Raw GM Adam Pearce announced that Ripley’s WrestleMania opponent will be determined in the Elimination Chamber Match at the titular event on February 24. Qualifying matches will decide the participants in the match.

The first qualifying match announced will see former Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch facing Shayna Baszler.

This is a WrestleMania 36 rematch where Lynch defeated Baszler to retain the Raw Women’s Championship in 2020. The other qualifying matches have yet to be announced at the time of this writing.
