A top WWE star has started a fundraiser campaign for Smile Train.
Upon her return to WWE in December 2022, Charlotte Flair played a different role than she had traditionally become known for returning as a babyface.
“The Queen” has become one of the biggest heels in the business over the past decade, but her work outside of the ring shows that her babyface character might be closer to the vest.
Following her loss to Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 39, Charlotte took some time away from the ring and became an ambassador for Smile Train during her time away.
On September 21, Charlotte Flair took to Twitter to ask her fans for some help in helping kids with clefts and announce a fundraising campaign with the proceeds directly helping kids and their surgeries. She wrote:
“You’ve heard me talk about how special it is for me to be a Global Ambassador for @SmileTrain… Now, I’m asking for your help.
I’m launching a fundraising campaign to help fund life-changing surgeries for kids with clefts. For just $21 – less than your next Uber Eats order – you can pay for one child’s medical expenses.
Cleft surgery isn’t just a cosmetic thing. Children with cleft have trouble eating, breathing, talking and are often incredibly isolated.
Let’s change these kids lives one donation at a time,”
