WWE Has Filmed First Edition Of New NXT Show

WWE appears to be adding a new show to their lineup, more specifically a new NXT show entitled NXT EVOLVE.

Fightful Select (subscription required) released a report with several details regarding the new show. First, they reported that graphics and a championship belt have been created with the NXT EVOLVE branding.

They also reported that former head of the EVOLVE promotion Gabe Sapolsky and Jeremy Borash are both heavily involved in the production of the show. The report also states that the production of the show is completely unique from anything else WWE has done.

The production that has taken place was at the warehouse WWE used as a makeshift Performance Center for talent at the beginning of the pandemic.

Josiah Williams was reportedly the host of the show, which also saw many of WWE’s newest signees involved. The report says the show had more of a “fight” feel to it but did not provide more details. There was also no live commentary recorded, meaning any commentary would have to be added in post.

Fightful also noted that the plan for this show dates back as far as two years.
