WWE Legend Iron Sheik Cause Of Death Confirmed WWE

WWE legend Iron Sheik passed away on June 7 2023 at the reported age of 81 and his cause of death has now been revealed.

As previously reported, Sheik’s passing was reported on his own Twitter account in a post that paid tribute to the life and career of the real-life Hossein Khosrow Ali Vaziri.

A number of names across the wrestling landscape would pay their respects to the late wrestling legend, including Triple H and Hulk Hogan.

It would also be reported that there was “confusion” over the age of the Iron Sheik as Dave Meltzer noted “given he didn’t know his own birthday.”

TMZ has now reported the official cause of Iron Sheik’s death having obtained his death certificate, stating:

“WWE legend The Iron Sheik died of cardiac arrest last month.”

“Officials said in the document that Sheik — real name Hossein Khosrow Ali Vaziri — also suffered from congestive heart failure as well as hypertension before his passing.

“The manner of death was ruled to be natural.”

Iron Sheik was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2005.

During his runs in WWE, Iron Sheik was a WWF World Heavyweight Champion and held the Tag Team Championship with Nikolai Volkoff.

Upon the news of his death, WWE issued a statement paying tribute to the “larger-than-life personality and natural gift for inciting crowds across the globe (that) helped him become one of the greatest villains in sports-entertainment history.”
