At a WWE NXT house show tonight, a well known independent wrestling star with an impressive lineage has made their WWE debut.
At an NXT house show in Tampa, Florida, a pair of multi generation stars tangled in the ring in a historic match.
The match marked the first WWE in-ring appearance from Brogan Finlay, the son of legendary WWE star Fit Finlay.
In the match he took on another multi-generation star in Charlie Dempsey, the real-life son of William Regal.
In the end, Charlie Dempsey picked up the victory but the debut was positively received by those in attendance according to fans on Twitter.
Charlie Dempsey is of course a member of the existing NXT faction No Quarter Catch Crew comprised of himself, Myles Borne, Damon Kemp and Drew Gulak.
Recently Finlay’s signing with WWE was seemingly confirmed after his brother and NJPW star in his own right David Finlay revealed the news on a podcast, saying that Brogan was signed to NXT.
