What Happened After Cody Rhodes’ First WWE TV Match Since The Rock’s Return

According to WWE, there was a “shocking” ending to tonight’s Raw after Shinsuke Nakamura lost to Cody Rhodes in a Bull Rope match.

The main event of tonight’s episode of WWE Raw (February 5) was a Bull Rope match between Cody Rhodes and Shinsuke Nakamura.

Despite the unique stipulation, the match could still only end in submission or pinfall.

Per commentary, the actual rope used in the match was the same used previously by Cody’s father, Dusty Rhodes.

In the end, despite Shinsuke Nakamura misting Cody during the match, Rhodes picked up the victory.

However in the end, Drew McIntyre appeared out of nowhere to attack, as you can see below.

Earlier in the show, Drew McIntyre had also attacked Seth Rollins with Rhodes standing nearby, to which Cody chased Drew away seemingly setting up the closing scene in the show’s opener.

Certainly diverting the negative attention directly to Drew, McIntyre ended WWE Raw standing tall over Cody after hitting him with a Claymore.
