WWE Star Explains Why Seth Rollins Is In A ‘Very Difficult Situation’ WWE

WWE Intercontinental Champion GUNTHER has shared his honest thoughts on World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins and Rollins’ current title run.

While GUNTHER and Seth Rollins both hold singles gold on Raw, the situations surrounding their title reigns are very different.

GUNTHER is currently making history with an iconic title which has been around since 1979, where Rollins is carving his path as the inaugural holder of a world title which was created in April 2023.

Speaking with Justin Barrasso for Sports Illustrated’s FanNation, GUNTHER stated that he doesn’t compare himself to Rollins or WWE Undisputed Universal Champion Roman Reigns.

Explaining why he respects Seth Rollins, GUNTHER stated:

“Seth is in a very difficult situation. There have been many titles in the wrestling world that were brand new and then disappeared.

“A new title is like a start-up–only one in ten is going to succeed. It’s a very difficult spot to be a newly crowned champion of a new title, which means you’re the one to have to put in the work to establish it and add some prestige to it.

“I think he’s doing an excellent job. He’s one of the best we have.

GUNTHER will defend his Intercontinental Title against The Miz at this weekend’s Survivor Series WarGames 2023 event.

Rollins will also be in action at the show, competing in the WarGames match alongside Cody Rhodes, Jey Uso, Sami Zayn and Randy Orton.
