Injured WWE star and former Universal Champion Braun Strowman believes Chad Gable is “world championship caliber.”
2023 has been a transformative year in the career of Chad Gable. The former multi-time tag team champion has seen his greatest singles success with a memorable series of bouts against GUNTHER over the Intercontinental Championship.
In recent months, Gable has been prominently featured on both Monday Night Raw and NXT as a member of Alpha Academy alongside Otis, Maxxine Dupri and Akira Tozawa.
Despite coming up short of winning gold this year, the former Olympian has to be seen as one of the breakout stars for WWE in 2023.
Speaking with Riju Dasgupta of Sportskeeda Wrestling, Braun Strowman was asked to name someone who hasn’t won a world title yet, but is well on their way there. He answered:
“Honestly, someone that I see world championship caliber in is Chad Gable.”
“If we’re gonna say underrated and stuff like that, that would be, if I have to nail it down, it would be Chad Gable.”
“He has all the tools, he can talk, he’s got the look. He can go like nobody else.”
“When it really boils down to it, he’s an unbelievable human being, so I would love to see him get a shot at the big gold because he deserves it,”
Chad Gable last wrestled in a six-person tag team match alongside Otis and Maxxine Dupri over The Meta-Four’s Noam Dar, Oro Mensah and Lash Legend on the December 5 edition of WWE NXT.
