A new report has revealed popular WWE NXT star Trick Williams is viewed as an “exceptional talent” by backstage officials.
At NXT Stand & Deliver, Trick Williams defeated Carmelo Hayes in the highly anticipated main event of the show.
Following WrestleMania 40 weekend, WWE announced that the 2024 Draft will begin on the April 26 edition of SmackDown and conclude on the April 29 episode of Monday Night Raw.
With the announcement of NXT talent being available during this year’s Draft, there have been various reports and rumors on various stars making the move to the main roster, including former NXT North American Champion Trick Williams.
Fightful Select (subscription required) provided an update, noting that several NXT talent have described Trick as a quick learner, has a strong work ethic and is regarded as “an exceptional talent” to work with.
As previously reported, Williams is currently “no longer being considered” for a WWE main roster call-up despite backstage officials remaining high on him.
Trick Williams is set to challenge Ilja Dragunov for the NXT Championship on the April 23 NXT Spring Breakin Night One special.
