WWE Star Discusses Potential New Tag Team Titles WWE

WWE has introduced a lot of new championships over the past few weeks, most recently introducing the WWE Women’s and Women’s World Championships, replacing the Raw and SmackDown Women’s Championships, respectively.

With two new women’s championships introduced, as well as two new world championships, fans have wondered if the Raw and SmackDown Tag Team Championships could be next.

Both sets of titles, currently held by Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn, are defended as a single entity as the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship, with many hoping that a new set of titles would be introduced.

One team that has held both sets of titles in the past is the Street Profits duo of Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins, and Dawkins recently appeared on the Masked Man Show, where he was asked about a potential new set of Tag Team Championships.

Dawkins said that he doesn’t know if there are new titles on the way, but he hopes that the current title design stays, merging to form purple titles.

He said:

“Your guess is as good as me. If there is, I hope. One can only hope. The titles that we have still look good, red and blue, we might merge them together. Make it purple. We’re going to introduce the purple gang. If they decide to change it, I’m all for it.”

The designs for WWE’s new championships have been met with a mixed reaction online, with some liking the looks of the new belts while others think they are ‘uncreative’.

Speaking about the new world titles, Dawkins said:

“I like them. They look good. They would look good around my waist. They would look good around Montez’ waist. You never know.”
