Now in a new interview with MackMania, FTR elaborated on their thoughts about the AEW ranking system, and dropped a little bit of tea about a fellow big name in pro wrestling.

“It might get him in trouble, but whatever. After my match with Claudio, Randy Orton texts me and Claudio and could not stop talking about how great the match was, and selling and what’s missing in wrestling.

“He said that match is what’s missing. Yeah man, I love getting accolades and I love fans caring about us and loving us and ranking us high. But when my peers and the people I look up to are the ones who give us the accolades, that’s pretty cool.”

FTR may not be scheduled for a shot at the AEW Tag Team Championships at AEW Dynamite Grand Slam but that doesn’t mean the titles aren’t being defended on the show.

Current champions Swerve in Our Glory (Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland) will be defending their championship gold against The Acclaimed (Anthony Bowens and Max Caster) at the special edition of AEW Dynamite coming to fans live from Arthur Ashe Stadium in Queens, NY.
