A WWE star has been suspended indefinitely from the show they have been making regular appearances for over the past few months.

Omos hasn’t appeared on mainline WWE television since the pre-WrestleMania 40 episode of SmackDown in April 2024, but he has been utilized elsewhere this year.

The Nigerian giant has instead been making appearances for WWE’s AAA brand in Mexico as a member of the El Ojo faction with Dorian Roldan and El Hijo Del Vikingo.

For the past few weeks, with Vikingo out injured, Omos and Roldan instead formed an alliance with AAA Mega Champion Dominik Mysterio, with Mysterio looking to protect his title reign against the threat of El Grande Americano, who he defends against at TripleMania in Mexico City on September 13.

However, it looks like Mysterio might not be getting the backup he was expecting in the coming weeks, as Omos has been “suspended indefinitely” from AAA.

On tonight’s WWE AAA episode, Omos got himself disqualified for using the steel ring steps as a weapon in his match against Galeno Del Mal.

As he was being restrained from continuing to attack Galeno, WWE Hall of Famer and AAA General Manager Rey Mysterio came out, and Omos wasn’t very happy.

Omos ended up taking his frustrations out on Rey, grabbing him in a chokeslam hold, holding him up in the air while Dominik urged him to slam Rey down and Roldan tried to persuade him not to.

Omos opted not to slam Mysterio down, but he still faced some consequences for putting his hands on the General Manager of the brand.

Rey Mysterio announced that Omos is now “suspended indefinitely” from appearing in AAA.

This suggests that Omos will be absent and unable to protect Dominik Mysterio in his aforementioned Mega Championship defense against El Grande American at TripleMania.

Just speculation but it would seem unlikely that Omos is absent from that event entirely, so he may be out of the picture leading up to it but then make a return in an attempt to help Dominik on the night.

In other TripleMania related news from tonight’s WWE AAA episode – there will be a gauntlet match at AAA Ola De Calor to determine who will challenge Flammer at TripleMania for the Reina De Reinas Championship.
