WWE Hall of Famer AJ Styles’ son is set to make his TNA Wrestling debut appearance, with Avery Styles confirmed for an upcoming event.

The son of the former WWE Champion made his pro-wrestling debut in June 26, taking on Ashton Martin at the Freedom Fling event in Royston, Georgia.

With Avery having wrestled for the likes of GCW in the months since, the second generation star is set to attend an upcoming event by TNA Wrestling, his father’s former home promotion.

TNA Wrestling has confirmed that Avery Styles will be at this weekend’s Lockdown event, which will emanate from the Credit Union 1 Arena in Chicago on August 23.

The company took to social media to announce:

JUST CONFIRMED: Avery Styles will be at #TNALockdown on Sunday at Credit Union 1 Arena in Chicago.

TNA Wrestling was famously the home promotion of AJ Styles from 2002 to 2014, with the Phenomenal One making his debut for “NWA Total Nonstop Action” in June 19, 2002, where he defeated Jerry Lynn, Lo-Ki and Psicosis to become the inaugural X-Division Champion.

His run with TNA saw him hold this title six times, as well as becoming the first TNA Triple Crown and Grand Slam winner, following his TNA World Heavyweight and World Tag Team title wins.

Plans for Avery Styles at the TNA special are currently unclear, with the promotion providing no more clarification than that he will be at the event.

This has led to speculation as to whether Avery will wrestle during the show, so early in his pro-wrestling career.

Avery appears to be set to make some sort of appearance during the show. If he was only attending the event or visiting backstage, TNA Wrestling likely wouldn’t have shared such a prominent announcement with a coordinated graphic.

While we will have to wait and see what the son of AJ Styles gets up to, this has certainly fuelled intrigue among wrestling fans, following recent discourse about Avery and his position in the wrestling world.

TNA Wrestling notably has a partnership with WWE NXT, where AJ Styles is currently working on a temporary basis.
