WWE SmackDown star Trick Williams has explained the meaning of “lemon pepper steppers” and how a shoe can earn that description.

“Lemon pepper steppers” has become one of Williams’ popular catchphrases since he made his WWE main roster debut.

In an appearance today on the RoneDotCom show, Williams commented on what the phrase actually means and the key to a shoe being described as a “lemon pepper stepper.”

He said:

“Not about the color. Not about the texture. It’s a sauce. It’s like Wingstop, it’s like KFC, it’s the sauce that makes it a Lemon Pepper Stepper.”

Williams has already made a notable impact since his call-up from NXT to SmackDown, having recently been part of the Undisputed WWE Championship #1 contender Elimination Chamber match that was won by Randy Orton.

Williams was also in the men’s Royal Rumble match and the four-way WWE Championship #1 contender match at Saturday Night’s Main Event on January 24 that won by Sami Zayn, so he’s technically been in the main event of all three major shows so far this year.
