There have been a lot of title changes in 2026 with various stars claiming WWE championship gold throughout the first half of this year.

Looking at the current landscape of WWE, there are some future title switches that could take place in the coming weeks and months.

Whether it be a rising star winning his first title or a former world champion claiming gold elsewhere, these title changes will dramatically shift how WWE looks moving forward.

Here are our predictions for the next champion for every WWE title holder.

Undisputed WWE Championship: Cody Rhodes

At WWE Night of Champions 2026, Sami Zayn defeated Cody Rhodes and GUNTHER to win the Undisputed WWE Championship.

Despite just losing his title, it feels like ‘The American Nightmare’ will remain in the main event picture moving forward.

Rhodes has been one of the biggest stars on the WWE roster and has become a consistent figure in the Undisputed WWE Championship picture over the course of the past three years.

After seeing his third reign end, Rhodes could start his fourth run with the WWE Title by defeating Zayn sooner rather than later.

WWE Women’s Championship: Jacy Jayne

On the April 24 WWE SmackDown after WrestleMania 42, Fatal Influence made their main roster debut and have become part of the women’s scene.

On night one, Jacy Jayne made it clear that she had her sights on Rhea Ripley’s WWE Women’s Championship.

After pushing Ripley to her limits in a non-title match, Jayne feels like the strongest candidate to beat ‘Mami’ for championship gold.

Jayne beating Ripley to win the WWE Women’s Championship feels like the right choice to push her to a top level moving forward.

Women’s United States Championship: Blake Monroe

Over the past few weeks, Blake Monroe’s main roster arrival has been teased through a series of vignettes.

During these video packages, Monroe has called out various members of the SmackDown women’s division, such as WWE Women’s United States Champion Tiffany Stratton.

On the June 26 edition of Friday Night SmackDown, Monroe made her main roster debut with an attack on Giulia.

After laying out a former champion, it would make sense for Monroe to take the WWE Women’s United States Championship from Stratton in the coming weeks.

United States Championship: Drew McIntyre

Back at WWE WrestleMania 42 night two, Trick Williams defeated Sami Zayn to win the United States Championship.

Since then, Williams’ popularity with the fans has only increased with the champion regularly getting the loudest pop of the night every time he appears.

Looking at the SmackDown roster, Trick could face some top stars looking to bring more attention to the United States Title picture.

Drew McIntyre making his return for the first time since WrestleMania 42 could see him take aim at Trick’s US Title moving forward.

Intercontinental Championship: Chad Gable

After being unmasked as The Original El Grande Americano at AAA Noche de Los Grandes, Chad Gable has been on a redemption tour in WWE.

First making amends with the luchadores on the roster for disrespecting the lucha libre culture, Gable could find his path to singles championship gold down the road.

After apologizing to him, Penta forgave Gable despite his entire time as The Original El Grande starting due to the former Olympian’s inability to beat the newest WWE star in early 2025.

Wanting to complete the full circle, Gable could find himself as the challenger for the IC Title and take the gold from Penta at least by WWE SummerSlam 2026 from his hometown of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Women’s Intercontinental Championship: Lyra Valkyria

On the June 22 episode of Monday Night Raw, Paige and Brie Bella defeated Bayley and Lyra Valkyria to retain the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.

After the loss, Valkyria snapped and betrayed Bayley with a vicious assault, turning heel for the first time in WWE.

Showing off a new side of her persona, Valkyria has gone off the deep end and could make her way back to the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship scene.

Despite Sol Ruca standing atop of the title picture, Valkyria could get another opportunity and be the one to become a two-time Women’s IC Champion in the near future.

Women’s Tag Team Championship: Fatal Influence (Fallon Henley & Lainey Reid)

As previously mentioned, Fatal Influence have been running roughshod all over the SmackDown women’s division.

However, Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid failed to beat Paige and Brie Bella in a non-title match on the June 12 SmackDown.

Now needing to earn a new title shot, Fatal Influence feel like the biggest threat to Paige and Brie’s reign.

Henley and Reid bringing the WWE Women’s Tag Team Title to Fatal Influence would be the best way to further the ascension of the group on the blue brand moving forward.

WWE Tag Team Championship: The Miz & Kit Wilson

The SmackDown tag team scene has been lacking a ton of contenders as of late.

Sitting atop of the SmackDown tag team division, R-Truth and Damian Priest have not been backing down from any challengers.

One of their successful title defenses since winning the gold was against The Miz and Kit Wilson.

Having to deal with Danhausen, The Miz and Kit could become new allies of the ‘Very Nice, Very Evil’ star, leading to them winning gold on SmackDown.

World Tag Team Championship: The Usos (Jimmy & Jey Uso)

On the June 22 episode of Monday Night Raw, The Street Profits defeated The Vision’s Austin Theory and Bron Breakker to win the World Tag Team Championship.

Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins are now five-time WWE Tag Team Champions across Raw, SmackDown and NXT.

Looking at the current Raw tag team scene, The Usos feel like the strongest challengers that could step up to the Profits now.

Jimmy and Jey Uso could want to bring the titles to the Bloodline and rekindle their rivalry with the Street Profits sooner rather than later.

Women’s World Championship: IYO SKY

At WWE Night of Champions 2026, IYO SKY defeated Liv Morgan to win the King of the Ring final.

With this victory, SKY earned the right to challenge for the world title of her choosing at WWE SummerSlam 2026.

Having just beat Morgan, ‘The Genius of the Sky’ chose Liv’s WWE Women’s World Championship.

Considering her ability inside the squared circle and her win over Morgan, IYO could be the person to take the gold away from The Judgment Day come WWE SummerSlam 2026.

World Heavyweight Championship: Oba Femi

Oba Femi has ascended to the mountaintop of WWE by beating Jey Uso to win the King of the Ring final at Night of Champions 2026.

While he decided to forgo his title opportunity at WWE SummerSlam 2026, Femi looks to have his sights on the World Heavyweight Championship.

‘The Ruler’ called out Roman Reigns after defeating Brock Lesnar at the WrestleMania 42 premium live event.

Whether it be at another PLE or by WrestleMania 43 next year, Oba Femi feels like the biggest possible opponent and threat to Reigns’ current run as World Heavyweight Champion.
