Tyler Breeze has commented on his friend and UpUpDownDown co-host Xavier Woods’ WWE departure, with Woods and Kofi Kingston leaving the company.

Woods and Kingston’s WWE departures were confirmed on May 2, with their WWE profiles moved to the alumni section of the public roster page.

Following reports that the duo “mutually decided to part ways with WWE”, there has been a lot of speculation about their in-ring futures, as well as the future of the UpUpDownDown gaming YouTube channel owned by WWE and regularly featuring Woods and Tyler Breeze.

Speaking with Love Wrestling, Breeze stated that Woods  – aka Austin Creed – is “just chilling” right now, and that he knows as much about his future as anyone else.

Noting that he’ll also be waiting to read the headlines, Breeze stated:

“At the moment, he’s just chilling. He’s been on the grind. Business stuff happens, it’s not my place to talk on any of it.

“You saw as much as I saw, where he’s at now. That’s kind of where we’re at. I’ll be waiting to see the headlines when you see them as well.”

The future of UpUpDownDown remains uncertain, with Xavier Woods having been the main contributor to the channel, which has over 2.4 million subscribers.

With a previous report stating that WWE is trying to retain Woods with a deal described as “the Tyler Breeze deal”, there is a possibility that Woods could remain with the company solely as a contributor of UpUpDownDown.

Tyler Breeze notably wrestles on the independent scene under his current deal with WWE, and has only wrestled for WWE once since his return in this capacity, unsuccessfully challenging for Ethan Page’s North American Championship on the September 2025 NXT Homecoming show.

Whether or not Woods signs a deal like this with WWE would likely depend on how active of a wrestler he’s looking to be nowadays, as the deal would likely prevent him from wrestling for other televised companies like AEW.

Of course, with Woods and Kofi Kingston reportedly rejecting pay cuts and instead deciding to exit WWE, we could see the former New Day member build a new personal brand for himself away from any company, a truly independent property.
