Since WWE reintroduced the WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, the company has welcomed back several legends as special guests.

Whether it be Jesse “The Body” Ventura or Goldberg, fans have seen these legendary names appear as part of the broadcast or simply sitting in the crowd for these shows.

The upcoming May 23 WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event could see even more iconic stars making an appearance throughout the evening in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Here are six WWE legends to potentially return at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

6. Jimmy Hart

Jimmy Hart is widely regarded as one of the greatest managers in the history of pro wrestling.

Over the years, Hart has appeared as a special guest on special events in a variety of different ways.

Whether it be alongside the late Hulk Hogan or simply enjoying the shows from the crowd, Hart is a face that fans have seen over the years since his days of holding the megaphone were behind him.

Having recently appeared as a guest on Cody Rhodes’ What Do You Wanna Talk About? Podcast, it would make sense if Hart appeared and made his return at the upcoming event this coming Saturday.

5. Mark Henry

Another familiar face who has appeared as a guest of WWE for several different shows over the years is Mark Henry.

“The World’s Strongest Man” has been retired for a number of years and signed a Legends deal with the company after leaving All Elite Wrestling a few years ago.

While the next Saturday Night’s Main Event does not take place in his home state of Texas, Henry feels like someone who would not mind making the trip to enjoy this show live.

Henry would be welcomed to return at this event and could make a greater impact by interacting with one of the stars on the WWE roster right now.

4. Bubba Ray Dudley

WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray

Bubba Ray Dudley has been one of the team captains on all three seasons of WWE LFG

Much like Mark Henry, Bubba Ray Dudley is another WWE legend who is no stranger to appearing as a special guest at major events over the years.

While he made a name for himself as a tag team specialist during his time in WWE, Bubba Ray has had a role of an adviser to talent in recent years for the company.

On WWE LFG, Bubba Ray has been one of the legendary coaches providing guidance to the Performance Center talent over the three seasons of the show.

With his close ties to the company right now, it makes sense if WWE invited Bubba Ray as a guest to appear at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.

3. B. Brian Blair

Sometimes, WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event has had more local legends to whichever place the show takes place.

With the May 23 edition of SNME taking place in Fort Wayne, Indiana, B. Brian Blair might be someone called upon to appear as a special guest.

The Indiana native made his mark in WWE as one half of the Killer Bees tag team alongside “Jumpin” Jim Brunzell in the 1980s.

Having last appeared during the Hulk Hogan tributes last year, it would be fitting for WWE to invite him back to appear in the crowd to enjoy WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event from his home state.

2. Trish Stratus

Another legendary star that is often seen appearing on shows like WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event is Trish Stratus.

The seven-time WWE Women’s Champion is often mentioned among the greatest female stars in WWE history.

Stratus has also been no stranger to stepping back into the ring despite retiring nearly 20 years ago.

Whether it be in the crowd or interacting with current talent in the WWE women’s division, it would be fun to see Stratus make another appearance for the May 23 Saturday Night’s Main Event in Fort Wayne.

1. AJ Lee

AJ Lee said that her WrestleMania 42 match wasn’t a ‘goodbye’ and was a ‘see you later’.

At WrestleMania 42 Night One, Becky Lynch defeated AJ Lee to win the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship.

Following this loss, Lee seemingly said farewell for now and ended this stint with WWE for the time being.

At the May 23 edition of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, Lee’s rival Becky Lynch will face Sol Ruca in a non-title match.

To once again cost “The Man” another match, Lee could be the difference for Ruca to pick up the biggest victory over her career over Lynch in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
