Four members of the SmackDown Live roster decided to make an appearance on last night’s Raw, and that’s if you’re not counting Elias and Shane McMahon, because apparently they don’t count.
This was all as part of Vince McMahon’s genius “wildcard rule” which he introduced, allowing four (or three as it originally was) stars from SmackDown and Raw to appear on the other brand per week.
Last night saw Daniel Bryan, Kofi Kingston, Roman Reigns, Lars Sullivan, Elias and Shane McMahon appear. This wildcard rule is due not only to WWE’s falling ratings, but also because of pressure from the TV networks that air Raw and SmackDown to end the brand split.
But anyway, now that we’ve seen SmackDown stars on Raw, which Raw stars will we be seeing on SmackDown Live tonight?
Well, if you look at names booked for the upcoming SmackDown Live tour, then AJ Styles and Samoa Joe would be major candidates, as they’re both advertised. AJ also teased last night that he could be heading to SmackDown with some friends, meaning Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson could also make an appearance to reform the Bullet Club.
Both Naomi and the Usos are also on the upcoming SmackDown Live tour, so perhaps they’ll show up for whatever reason.
Tonight’s show will feature the crowning of new SmackDown Live tag champions, Ali vs Andrade, a six-woman tag match and Kevin Owens responding to Kofi Kingston attacking him last week.
