Big E will return to the ring tonight on SmackDown for the first time since April.
The New Day man was injured in a six-man tag match two days after WrestleMania, suffering a torn meniscus.
That match – pitting New Day against The Bar and Drew McIntyre – was particularly costly for WWE, with Sheamus also getting injured in the same outing.
Sheamus’ return date remains unknown but WWE is promoting Big E’s return tonight alongside New Day partners Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods.
The trio will battle Kofi’s Stomping Grounds opponent Dolph Ziggler, former temporary New Day member ‘Big O’ (Kevin Owens) and wannabe-referee Sami Zayn in a six-man tag match.
Big E previously returned to SmackDown on the May 21 episode of SmackDown and was the recipient of a special “Welcome Back, Big E!” celebration held by his teammates.
However, he was not ready to return to action so a segment aired of Big E laid out backstage after an apparent attack by Dolph Ziggler.
