Hillsborough Circuit Judge Catherine Catlin has denied the accused stalker of WWE’s Sonya Deville a $2 million bail and he will remain in jail.
As reported by the Tampa Bay Times, the judge deemed Phillip Thomas II a threat to the community after he allegedly broke into Deville’s home several days ago.
The judge said: “I don’t see any way we can protect our community in Hillsborough County if we give him bail. A GPS on him gives me no peace of mind. A GPS monitor does nothing for me.”
Thomas is accused of being armed with several weapons and had intent to harm Deville and keep her held to answer his questions.
It was also found that he had sent a series of disturbing and threatening messages to Deville over a prolonged period of time on social media prior to the incident, some of which targetted family members.
He faces charges of Aggravated Stalking, Armed Burglary of a Dwelling and Attempted Armed Kidnapping.
It was announced on tonight’s WWE SmackDown that the Sonya Deville vs Mandy Rose match at SummerSlam on Sunday will now be a no DQ ‘loser leaves WWE’ match. Rose was with Deville in her home when it was broken into.
