Earlier today, it was announced Kevin Owens would be coming to WWE SmackDown this Friday. Not only are we getting the KO Show, but it was also announced we’ll be getting an Intercontinental Championship match.
Sami Zayn will be defending his title against Jeff Hardy. Hardy was one of the 3 men who battled for the IC title this past weekend.
Hardy was the Intercontinental Champion heading into Clash of Champions. He won the title from AJ Styles several weeks ago. However, Sami Zayn technically never lost the title.
He was stripped of the title after not appearing on SmackDown for several months. After he returned, Zayn was inserted back into the title picture and won a terrific ladder match on Sunday.

It will be interesting to see if Zayn, Hardy, and Styles continues. Raw has seen very, very long rivalries that have spanned the majority of the no crowd era. However, SmackDown has been booking more diverse stories.
We haven’t had any other announcements besides Kevin Owens. Other stories likely to continue will be the follow up to Reigns and Uso and Bayley and Sasha Banks should really pick up.
What do you think? Do you want to see more Hardy and Zayn? Or would you like to see Zayn move onto a new challenger? Let us know on Twitter.
