On the October 23, 2020 edition of WWE SmackDown, WWE promoted a Law and Otis segment in which Miz would be suing Otis for creating a hazardous work environment and negligence in guarding the Money in the Bank Briefcase.
The segment which was horrendous in this writer’s opinion led the judge JBL to making a decision about what to do with the briefcase. JBL made the decision to award the case to Miz and announced Otis and Miz would face off at WWE Hell in a Cell for the contract.
JBL started to award the case to Otis. However, Miz handed JBL a briefcase full of money. At least, that is what the sound effects implied.
Whatever was in the case, JBL changed his mind and we’re now getting Miz and Otis. The winner gets the contract.
The Hell in a Cell card was looking pretty short. However, even 4 matches seem too short for a WWE main roster show. Now, we’ve got a 5th match.
Here is the rest of the card for the show:
- Drew McIntyre vs. Randy Orton – Hell in a Cell match for the WWE Championship
- Roman Reigns vs. Jey Uso – Hell in a Cell I Quit Match for the Universal Championship
- Bayley vs. Sasha Banks – Hell in a Cell for the SmackDown Women’s Championship
- Jeff Hardy vs. Elias
WrestleTalk will have live coverage of the show on Sunday.
